I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and very much looking forward to Seattle's Ride of Silence tomorrow. At 5pm today I had a 30-min call with Ed White (King5 reporter) and John Duggan (Bike Attorney) -- a surprize call, and very welcome. I'll admit I've been helping with the global movement more than the local ride. Seems a few more helping hands are always needed. So many great ideas came up, so let's not forget them for next year. For the here and now, we will be asking for ride marshals to help steward the herd of cyclists (not more than 2-abreast please) along our route. Depending on the numbers/interest, the social afterwards will be in Eastlake and/or Fremont. An amazing global effect: 300+ Rides Mapped Worldwide. See you at Gasworks at 6:30pm tomorrow. |
